One of the things that makes the Nissan LEAF electric car so promising is that Nissan was aiming for mass-production from the very beginning (f.ex. The Smyrna plant is expected to produce up to 150,000 vehicles annually, and there are other high-capacity Nissan EV plants in Oppama, Japan and Sunderland, England). After years of waiting, we finally know how much the Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid will be sold for: The Volt’s MSRP will start at $41,000 ($33,500 net of the full federal tax credit, which ranges from $0-$7,500) including a destination freight charge of $720. Creative Challenge Calls on Contestants to Change the Way Urban Dwellers Ride
