After the caps are tossed, the tassels are switched, and the champagne is popped, your favorite graduates will be off to make their ways in the world, whether they're headed for an urban apartment or a European backpacking trip, are employed or still interviewing, are moving away or staying close to home. Make the adjustment easier with these practical green gifts -- for college and high-school grads -- that will help them work, play, and live no matter where life takes them.

You can't put a price on all mom has done for you -- but you can try to show your gratitude with one of these eco-friendly gifts. All are as good to Mother Earth as they will be to your own momma. From classic -- like recycled gold jewelry and Fair Trade chocolates -- to modern options (yoga gear, chic bags), we've got everything you need to make mom smile this Sunday, and forgive you next time you bring your laundry home.

We were very curious to see what the <a href="http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/saved-by-droog-in-milan.php">14 designers, invited by Droog to save 5135 items from liquidation sales and other leftovers</a>, came up with at the Milan Furniture Fair. So we hiked out to their temporarily exhibition space during the Salone and found a very <em>droogish</em> space, full of intriguing objects. Everything was for sale, and <a href="http://www.droog.com/blog/2010/04/more-new-owners-2/">Droog published photos of the proud new owners on their web</a>, like these happy guys below....<a href="http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/saved-by-droog-the-result-in-milan.php?campaign=th_rss">Read the full story on TreeHugger</a><br />	<a href="http://api.tweetmeme.com/share?url=http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/saved-by-droog-the-result-in-milan.php&#38;service=bit.ly"><img src="http://api.tweetmeme.com/imagebutton.gif?url=http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/saved-by-droog-the-result-in-milan.php" height="61" width="51" /></a><a href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/saved-by-droog-the-result-in-milan.php&#38;t=Milan Furniture Fair 2010: Saved by Droog (Part II)"><img src="http://www.treehugger.com/images/rss-fb-share.gif" height="61"></a><div class="feedflare">

For a real touch of Italy, go and visit the installation "<a href="http://www.formafantasma.com/autarchy.html">Autarchy</a>" by <a href="http://www.formafantasma.com">Studio Formafantasma</a> at this week's Furniture Fair in Milan. The project celebrates an autonomous way of producing goods, using bio-materials. It is a fresh take on crafts and design, tradition and the uncomplicated in everyday life. This show definitely stands in contrast to most of the other stuff we see at the Salone in Milan this week....<a href="http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/autarchy-by-formafantasma-in-milan.php?campaign=th_rss">Read the full story on TreeHugger</a><br />	<a href="http://api.tweetmeme.com/share?url=http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/autarchy-by-formafantasma-in-milan.php&#38;service=bit.ly"><img src="http://api.tweetmeme.com/imagebutton.gif?url=http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/autarchy-by-formafantasma-in-milan.php" height="61" width="51" /></a><a href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/autarchy-by-formafantasma-in-milan.php&#38;t=Milan Furniture Fair 2010: Autarchy by Studio Formafantasma"><img src="http://www.treehugger.com/images/rss-fb-share.gif" height="61"></a><div class="feedflare">

Designers everywhere are preparing for this year's Salone del Mobile in Milan, and so is <a href="http://www.droog.com/">Droog</a>. The Dutch design company saved 5135 items from liquidation sales and other leftovers and invited 14 designers to create something new with these objects. The result: folding chairs manicured by nail artists, handkerchiefs that distribute selected daily news articles, spoons with non-edible yet mouth-watering coatings- all on sale at the Milan furniture fair next week!...<a href="http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/saved-by-droog-in-milan.php?campaign=th_rss">Read the full story on TreeHugger</a><br />	<a href="http://api.tweetmeme.com/share?url=http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/saved-by-droog-in-milan.php&#38;service=bit.ly"><img src="http://api.tweetmeme.com/imagebutton.gif?url=http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/saved-by-droog-in-milan.php" height="61" width="51" /></a><a href="http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http://www.treehugger.com/files/2010/04/saved-by-droog-in-milan.php&#38;t=Milan 2010 Furniture Fair Preview: Saved by Droog"><img src="http://www.treehugger.com/images/rss-fb-share.gif" height="61"></a><div class="feedflare">

A postcard can brighten up your normal mail, but then it just sits there, commonplace and static. That's why <u> A Studio for Design</u> developed the Postcarden, "created to be more playful, curious and interactive. It encourages you to bond, live and grow the greeting on day by day basis. Over time to card reacts to you and your environment evolving in beauty and charm. "
